Marie Crane Yvon is an artist who is dedicated to the transformative power of color and the limitless possibilities of expression. For over 30 years, she has developed paint techniques that stretch beyond the decorative arts into the expansive field of contemporary abstract expressionism. She approaches each piece with an experiential and intuitive style, driven by a deep passion for the creative process.

Turning Tradesman Materials into Modern Masterpieces
Along with fine art supplies, Marie employs a combination of materials that are traditionally associated with tradesmen: plaster, stains, dyes, spray paint, urethane, etc. Through experience, she is able to surpass her initial ideas, explore uncharted territory, producing artwork that evokes deep emotion, and journey through the interplay of color, texture, and form. Capturing light through branches becomes perfecting a single branch, while layering and building depth and interest on foliage informs pools of water and moody landscapes.
